Kitchen Remodeling

Kitchen Remodel Masters Houston is a kitchen remodeler at 1923 Washington Ave, Houston, TX 77007. We design and build full kitchen remodels inside the Loop and across the west and north sides: new layouts, wall removal, cabinets built in our own shop, countertops fabricated in-house, tile, flooring, lighting, plumbing and electrical. Google rating 5.0 from 58 reviews. Every project starts with a free in-home consultation and a 3D design of your kitchen, and most kitchens are built in 2 to 4 weeks once construction starts.

Kitchen Remodeling Services in Houston

A kitchen remodel with us covers every trade: demolition, framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, cabinet installation, countertop templating and install, backsplash tile, flooring, paint and trim. You do not hire or schedule anyone else. Samuel, our project manager with 27 years in remodeling, runs the schedule and sends you a photo update at the end of every work day.

Before any demolition you see the finished kitchen in 3D, with the cabinet style, countertop slab, backsplash and flooring you picked. Changes are made on screen, not on site. Because our cabinets and countertops come from our own shop, there is no supplier lead time between demolition and installation, which is why most kitchens finish in 2 to 4 weeks on site instead of the 6 to 12 weeks common when every trade is subcontracted. If you also want a bathroom or an outdoor kitchen, we schedule them as one project.

Kitchen Cabinets, Countertops and Materials

Cabinets are built by Jose, our cabinet maker of 20 years: plywood boxes, solid-wood face frames, shaker, flat-panel or inset doors, soft-close hardware, painted or stained in a finish rated for Houston humidity. Countertops are templated, cut and installed by Eduardo, our fabricator of 15 years: quartz, granite, quartzite, marble and porcelain.

If your cabinet boxes are sound, you can keep them and have us paint, stain or reface them for a fraction of replacement cost. See financing options, browse the project gallery, and read what a kitchen remodel costs in Houston before you call.

What We Remodel in Houston Kitchens

Houston homes give us the same handful of kitchens again and again: 1920s to 1960s bungalows in The Heights and Montrose with a closed-off galley, 1950s to 1970s ranch houses in Memorial, Spring Branch and Oak Forest with a wall between the kitchen and den, 1990s builder kitchens with honey-oak cabinets, and large kitchens in River Oaks, West University and Bellaire that need a full redesign. Each gets its own page below.

Open-Concept Kitchen Remodel and Wall Removal

The most requested change in older Houston homes. We open the wall between the kitchen and the living room, add a beam when the wall is load-bearing, and move plumbing and electrical to the new layout. Load-bearing walls get an engineer's letter before the proposal and a City of Houston structural permit before demolition. Read which kitchen work needs a Houston permit.

Kitchen Island Installation

Islands with seating, storage, a prep sink or a cooktop. Most Houston homes sit on a slab, so running water or gas to an island means cutting the slab; we price that line up front so it never shows up as a surprise.

Small Kitchen Remodel

Galley and L-shaped kitchens under about 120 square feet, common in Heights and Montrose bungalows and Inner Loop townhomes; the galley kitchen remodel page covers keeping the galley or opening one wall. The gains come from layout and storage: floor-to-ceiling cabinets, drawer bases instead of doors, and a pantry pull-out where a broom closet used to be.

Luxury Kitchen Remodel

Full custom kitchens for River Oaks, Memorial Villages, Tanglewood and West University: inset cabinetry, quartzite or marble slabs with waterfall edges, paneled appliances, a working pantry or scullery, and lighting designed around the island.

Kitchen Design and 3D Rendering

Every project includes measured drawings and a 3D rendering of the finished kitchen. Our designer walks you through cabinet styles, slab samples, tile and hardware at the consultation, so your decisions are made before the proposal, not during construction.

Kitchen Additions and Bump-Outs

When the footprint is the problem, we extend it: a bump-out for a breakfast nook, an addition behind the house, or a garage conversion with a second kitchen. Additions run through Houston Permitting Center plan review and, in deed-restricted neighborhoods, the HOA.

Kitchen Remodel Cost in Houston

Published Houston market ranges, not a KRM quote: a typical kitchen remodel runs $7,592 to $26,089 according to Thumbtack (July 2026), a midrange major remodel about $81,521 and an upscale major remodel about $157,727 according to the 2025 Cost vs Value Report for Houston. Our kitchen remodel cost guide breaks those numbers down by size, finish tier and neighborhood, cost by size and per square foot shows the math for 80 to 250 square foot kitchens, and the 10x10 kitchen guide covers the standard small layout. The only real number for your kitchen is the written proposal you get after the free consultation.
