This Pearland hall bath had a worn shower and a vanity that had seen better days. Kitchen Remodel Masters Houston opened the shower to the studs, ran new plumbing, waterproofed the walls and bench, and tiled a new shower in marble-look porcelain with a bench, a niche, brushed fixtures and a frameless glass door. A new toilet and a new vanity top finished the room.

What we did
- Demo and plumbing. Old shower out to the studs, new supply lines and valve, drain reset.
- Waterproofing. Cement board, then a liquid membrane over every wall, the bench and the niche before tile. See how we build showers on the walk-in shower page.
- Tile and fixtures. Marble-look porcelain, a tiled bench, a recessed niche, a brushed handheld on a slide bar and a frameless glass door.
- Rest of the bath. New toilet and vanity top.

Frequently Asked Questions
What was done in this bathroom?
The shower was taken to the studs, re-plumbed, waterproofed with a liquid membrane over cement board, and tiled with marble-look porcelain, with a tiled bench, a recessed niche, a frameless glass door and new brushed fixtures. A new toilet and vanity top went in at the same time.
Why the red walls in the progress photos?
That is the liquid waterproofing membrane applied over the cement board before tile. Every shower we build gets this layer on the walls, bench and niche.
How long does a shower remodel take?
About one to two weeks on site for demo, plumbing, waterproofing, tile and fixtures, then the frameless glass is measured and installed about a week after the tile is done.
Do you work in Pearland?
Yes. We take bathroom and kitchen projects in Pearland, Friendswood and the south side of Houston. The free consultation and 3D design work the same way as in the city.
